Job summary

Yokogawa Engineering Asia PTE LTD seeks an experienced regional business development professional to drive growth across Southeast Asia, Australia, New Zealand and Taiwan. You will lead account strategies, develop strategic partnerships, and support pre-sales with scientific rigor and market insights.

The role requires in-depth Life Sciences knowledge, strong presentation skills, and the ability to translate complex data into value proposals for customers and partners.

Qualifications

• Degree in Biotechnology or Molecular Biology or related domain.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience with scientific instruments, High Content Analysis/Imaging, microscopy systems or related Life Science applications.
• Experience supporting academic research, drug discovery/screening, biotechnology/pharmaceutical customers, universities, hospitals or research institutes is preferred.
• Strong presentation, interpersonal and negotiation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with scientists, customers, distributors and internal stakeholders.
• Ability to troubleshoot scientific/application challenges and propose practical experimental or workflow solutions; experience with data analysis tools will be an added advantage.
• Ability to understand and discuss scientific literature, including research papers, patents and emerging breakthroughs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute regional business development strategies for Southeast Asia, Australia, New Zealand & Taiwan.
• Identify, develop, and manage key accounts across the region.
• Pursue strategic purchase agreements, service contracts, and long-term partnerships with key customers.
• Prepare and implement strategic business and marketing plans for targeted industries and applications.
• Support sales forecasting, pipeline development, and business opportunity tracking.
• Support pre-sales activities including customer discussions, technical evaluations, and instrument demonstrations; collaborate with sales teams and channel partners.
