Job summary

Alfa Laval is seeking a Regional Business Manager, Combustion Solutions, to drive growth across assigned regions by empowering local sales companies and positioning Alfa Laval as the preferred partner for shipyards and ship owners.

You will act as the regional expert on market dynamics, strategy and development, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to achieve ambitious targets and deliver value across the Thermal & Water Solutions portfolio.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business or a related field.
• Proven experience in the marine industry, with a strong commercial orientation.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships and networks both internally and externally.
• A strong customer focus, with the ability to understand customer needs and translate them into commercial opportunities.
• Excellent team player who fosters collaboration and motivates others.
• Self-driven, proactive, and able to work independently.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, in English.

Responsibilities

• Sales enablement: Foster strong communication, networking, and teamwork with regional sales companies to drive business and sales.
• Customer engagement: Build and maintain relationships with shipyards, ship owners, and key market players to secure new business opportunities.
• Sales excellence: Maintain accurate and up-to-date CRM records, including customer visits, opportunities, account plans, and related sales activities.
• Business development: Develop and execute a comprehensive regional business plan, identifying short- and long-term growth opportunities.
• Project involvement: Actively participate in daily sales projects, supporting sales teams throughout the sales cycle.
• Market intelligence: Continuously gather and analyze market and competitor information to inform strategy and decision-making.
• Product expertise: Serve as a subject matter expert on Thermal & Water Solutions portfolio.
• Commercial strategy: Provide input and define commercial strategy for the difference sales projects.
• Market expansion: Identify new business opportunities, contribute to go-to-market strategies, and support product launches.
• Training & support: Provide day-to-day support to sales teams, identify competence gap and training need, ensuring high-quality customer engagement.
• Process improvement: Participate in the development of processes to enhance sales effectiveness and quality.
