Job summary

Rolls-Royce in Singapore is seeking a Field Service Engineer to clarify technical requirements and provide expert support for MTU and Detroit engines and systems within the APAC region. You will troubleshoot with distributors, service partners, OEMs and customers, and supervise installation and commissioning activities to ensure reliable engine operation.

You will review service information and reports, coordinate field work, and support warranty assessments.

Responsibilities

• Clarify technical requirements for MTU & Detroit Engines and systems with customers and distributors.
• Provide technical support and troubleshoot problems with distributors, service partners, OEMs and customers.
• Supervise installation and commissioning work for MTU & Detroit Industrial engines in the region.
• Lead discussions on installation and commissioning, perform pre-installation checks for MTU engines with OEMs.
• Review service information related to MTU & Detroit Engines Industrial products.
• Review PID’s, installation reports and travel reports related to commissioning and field service work.
• Evaluate data related to commissioning, breakdowns and field repairs on specified engines.
• Supply diagnostic processes to OEMs service partners, distributors and customers to resolve issues.
• Coordinate field work and service recovery with local service partners and distributors.
• Provide on-site investigations/troubleshooting in the APAC region when required.
• Support warranty claims evaluation and provide justification for approval or rejection per PSPM.
• Provide leads and support to Sales Department.
• Coordinate with Failure Analysis Center to carry out FAC as required.
• Assist diagnosis of problems on other applications if required.
• Any other support requirement to the region.
