Job summary

Rolls-Royce Power Systems in Singapore is seeking a Senior Engineer, Mechanical to provide advanced technical support, troubleshooting, commissioning, maintenance and project execution for MTU engines and related systems across marine and power generation applications. The role requires 5–7 years of hands-on experience, strong knowledge of diesel engines, and the ability to read engineering drawings.

Travel locally and regionally is expected.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Marine, or related Engineering field.
• 5–7 years hands-on servicing, troubleshooting, commissioning, and project execution.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, power generation systems, or marine propulsion equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics and manuals.
• Willingness to travel locally and regionally as required.

Responsibilities

• Perform commissioning, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of MTU engines and associated systems.
• Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues using a structured problem-solving approach.
• Execute field service and project activities safely, efficiently, and in accordance with technical standards.
• Support customers with technical expertise and recommendations to optimize equipment performance.
• Review and interpret technical drawings, schematics, manuals, and engineering documentation.
• Manage site activities and ensure timely completion of service assignments and projects.
• Prepare technical reports, service documentation, and project updates.
• Identify opportunities to improve service processes, product reliability, and operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and commercial teams to resolve technical challenges.
• Provide technical guidance, knowledge sharing, and mentoring when required.
