Job summary

NOVACLOUD SYSTEMS PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced Platform Engineer to lead OpenShift and Kubernetes operations in Singapore. You will drive platform reliability, automation, and incident response across production and non-production environments.

Responsibilities include cluster lifecycle management, upgrades, and container workload management using Docker, Helm, and Git, with strong emphasis on security, RBAC, and IAM. Collaboration with SRE practices is essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on experience in OpenShift and Kubernetes in enterprise environments.
• Strong hands-on experience administering OpenShift OCP and Kubernetes with lifecycle management.
• Experience with Helm, Docker and Git for containerized operations.
• Proficient in Ansible for infrastructure configuration and Linux administration.
• Strong experience with Prometheus, Grafana, RBAC and NetworkPolicies in container platforms.
• Production experience with Linux/RHEL, including patching, services and resource management.

Responsibilities:

• Administer and support enterprise Red Hat OpenShift OCP and Kubernetes platforms across production and non-production environments.
• Perform cluster configuration, upgrades, node management, capacity planning and platform maintenance.
• Manage containerized workloads using Docker, Kubernetes and Helm.
• Configure platform access, workload isolation and security controls using RBAC, NetworkPolicies and IAM.
• Implement Ansible-based automation for platform configuration, Linux administration, patching and recurring operational activities.
• Monitor platform health, resource utilization and workload performance using Prometheus and Grafana.
• Troubleshoot OpenShift, Kubernetes, Linux, networking and container-related production issues.
• Support platform availability, incident management, SRE practices and disaster recovery activities.
• Participate in OpenShift platform migration, modernization and infrastructure automation initiatives.
• Develop Bash/Shell automation to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual platform activities.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of strong hands-on experience in OpenShift, Kubernetes, Platform Engineering, SRE or enterprise infrastructure environments.
• Strong hands‑on experience administering Red Hat OpenShift OCP and Kubernetes, including cluster lifecycle management, upgrades, troubleshooting and production support.
• Experience in Helm, Docker and Git for containerized application and platform operations.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Ansible for infrastructure configuration, automation and Linux/RHEL administration.
• Strong experience in Prometheus, Grafana, RBAC and NetworkPolicies in enterprise container platforms.
• Strong production experience with Linux/RHEL, including system troubleshooting, patching, services, processes and resource management.
• Hands‑on experience developing Bash/Shell automation for infrastructure and platform operations.
• Strong experience in supporting Incident Management, SRE and Disaster Recovery activities in production environments.
• Strong troubleshooting experience across OpenShift, Kubernetes, containers, networking and infrastructure components.
