Job summary

ScienTec Consulting Pte Ltd is seeking a detail-oriented metadata verifier for a 6-month assignment at Clarke Quay, Singapore. The role focuses on validating archival metadata against source documents and ensuring accuracy of transcribed table data.

You should hold a Diploma and have 2-3 years of relevant experience. Work hours are 9am-6pm, Monday to Friday, with a monthly salary of SGD 3,060 for this contract.

Qualifications

• Minimum Diploma in any field.
• At least 2-3 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Verify that key metadata of archival records were accurately transcribed by cross-checking extracted tabular output with the original digitised document.
• Identify transcription issues and discrepancies with reference to an existing Standard Operating Procedure.
• Support the development of the Standard Operating Procedure by providing feedback and suggestions.
• Document and categorise transcription issues encountered during the verification process.
• Record discussion points and decisions made to amend the metadata.
• Perform other related metadata verification, data cleansing, and issue analysis tasks.
• Be able to adapt to changes in the workflow and variations in documents encountered.
