Job summary

Overmugged is hiring four part-time Receptionists at our Singapore centres to be the first point of contact for students and parents, keeping the front desk calm and organised during classes.

Weekend shifts are available to fit around weekday commitments. You will greet visitors, handle inquiries, coordinate check-ins, and collaborate with tutors and staff to resolve issues on shift.

Qualifications

• Weekend availability is required.
• Prior client-facing experience (e.g., retail or customer service) is preferred.
• Able to multitask and stay organised under pressure.
• A proactive, can-do attitude and team-first mindset is expected.

Responsibilities

• Greet students, parents and visitors and answer calls and messages promptly.
• Listen to parents first; if unsure, check with the team and follow up with the right information.
• Stay calm with upset customers and help find a resolution.
• Handle check-ins, attendance and enquiries during weekend classes.
• Manage calls, walk-ins and small tasks while working with tutors and colleagues on shift.
• Keep the reception area tidy.

About the role

You will be the first point of contact for students and parents at your assigned centre, keeping the front desk calm and organised while classes are in session.

Key responsibilities

• Greet students, parents and visitors, and answer calls and messages promptly
• Listen to parents first. If you don't know an answer, say so honestly, check with the team, and follow up with the right information
• Stay calm with upset or difficult customers: listen, apologise first, and help find a resolution
• Handle check-ins, attendance and enquiries during weekend classes
• Manage calls, walk-ins and small tasks at the same time
• Work closely with tutors, supervisors and colleagues on shift
• If you can't make a shift, tell your supervisor as early as possible so cover can be arranged, and hand over any pending tasks
• Keep the reception area tidy

About you

• Available on weekends
• Prior client-facing experience (for example retail or customer service) is preferred
• Comfortable handling parents' questions and tricky situations
• Able to multitask and stay organised under pressure
• A proactive, can-do attitude and a team-first mindset
• Able to travel to your assigned centre (Marine Parade, Tampines, Oasis Terrace or Novena)
