Job summary

Grasshopper is a Singapore-based quantitative trading technology provider seeking a UI Software Engineer to build and scale real-time web interfaces for high-frequency trading and risk management. You will deliver a robust, low-latency monitoring and execution UI used by traders and risk managers to make split-second decisions.

You will collaborate closely with traders and backend teams, optimize memory and performance, and ensure reliable data processing for tens of millions of messages daily.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional frontend development experience.
• Experience with Angular or React in high-frequency environments.
• Strong knowledge of TS, async patterns and memory management.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimise high-performance, real-time web applications using Angular and RxJS.
• Architect systems capable of handling massive data streams (10M+ messages/day).
• Work closely with traders and risk managers to translate complex requirements into interactive tools.
• Write clean, testable, and highly performant code with a focus on memory management.
• Collaborate with backend engineers to define efficient data schemas and streaming protocols.
• Maintain a high bar for detail due to live trading environments.
