Job summary

Grasshopper Asset Management, a Singapore-based trading technology firm, seeks a Junior Trader to join the Trading Team. The role focuses on intraday equity trading with a strong emphasis on HFT and discretionary strategies, requiring a proven P&L track record and the ability to perform under pressure.

You will work with experienced professionals, develop alpha strategies, and ensure compliance with risk management practices while operating within a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of relevant trading experience in HFT or professional equity trading with a proven P&L track record.
• Own or operate successful alphas/strategies.
• Quick and decisive thinking in a dynamic, high-pressure environment.
• Knowledge of programming, especially Python, is an added advantage.
• Strong passion for competitive activities such as trading, games or sports.

About Grasshopper Asset Management

Grasshopper Asset Management, a subsidiary of Grasshopper, is expanding and seeking for an experienced Junior Trader to join our team and help drive the success of our trading operations in the markets we cover. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in equity trading with intraday/day trading experience, with a deep understanding of financial markets and the ability to make informed and timely decisions.

As a key member of the Trading Team, you'll:

• Develop and execute intraday trading strategies ( Monitor market trends, news, and economic data to make informed trading decisions
• Master and execute trading algorithmic and discretionary strategies
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices in risk management
• Exercise discipline and ensure consistency by identifying and navigating trading risks and opportunities

We'd love for you to have:

• Minimum 5 years of relevant trading experience in a HFT and/or professional equity trading experience with a strong track record of success, with a proven P&L record
• Own or operate successful alphas/strategies
• Quick and decisive thinking and the ability to perform in a dynamic and stressful environment
• Knowledge of any programming language will be an added advantage i.e. Python
• A strong passion for competitive activities e.g. trading, games, sports
