Job summary

SBS Transit Limited is seeking a Maintenance/Operations Controller to monitor fault occurrences, coordinate engineering work, and dispatch staff for timely response. The role supports safety-critical railway operations and maintenance control functions.

The candidate will develop procedures for normal operation, post-incident management, and generate routine reliability reports. Shift work is 24/7, with duties assigned by superiors as needed.

Qualifications

• Polytechnic Diploma required in Electronics/Electrical/Computer Engineering or equivalent.
• Preferably 2 years of Railway experience.
• Knowledge of computer hardware or software applications.

Responsibilities

• Reports to Chief Controller while on duty.
• Monitors and manages fault occurrences and engineering work activities for the mainline and depot.
• Disptaches O&M staff to attend to faults immediately when safety/operations affected.
• Provides cover to MEC team when needed.
• Develops procedures of normal operation, post investigation and incident management in Maintenance Control.
• Develops reports for routine operation in OCC relating to reliability and performance.
• Responds to any incident upon activation by Engineering or Rail Engineering & Performance Division/Department heads.
• Performs shift duty. Role rosters 24/7 duty.
• Any other tasks assigned by superior.
