Job summary

GMP Technologies in Singapore is seeking an experienced R&D Test Engineer to lead a team and oversee hands-on HDD component testing. You will ensure uptime and support R&D and mass production, driving continuous improvement across testing workflows.

The role requires strong analytical skills, knowledge of testing techniques, and programming in Visual Basic and Python, with experience in a cleanroom environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Electronics Engineering or related field.
• At least 4 years of relevant testing experience in electronic/electrical scopes.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Strong communication and analytical skills.
• Experience with evaluation and testing techniques.
• Experience with statistical tools (Minitab, JMP, Spotfire) preferred.
• Knowledge of Visual Basic-based and Python programming.
• Experience in cleanroom environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise engineers and technicians to meet R&D/MP goals.
• Operate and troubleshoot HDD testing equipment; understand HDD components.
• Maintain machine uptime and plan manpower for R&D and MP operations.
• Evaluate new machine technologies and prepare technical reports.
• Advance Guzik parameter research to improve HDD performance.
• Analyze media magnetic properties vs electrical performance.
• Plan and manage direct/indirect materials for budgeting and inventory.
• Coordinate with Resonac sites for info sharing.
• Ensure compliance with ISO SOPs and safety practices.
