Job summary

Seagate Singapore is seeking a Process Engineer to own backend HDD manufacturing processes, monitor yield, conduct SPC analysis, and drive improvements. You will work across operations, equipment, automation, and quality teams to deliver robust performance.

You will lead DOE and capability studies, develop process documentation, support NPI trials, and collaborate with suppliers on quality and material changes. Willingness to travel to Thailand for a month.

Qualifications

• Experience in high volume manufacturing with SPC, DOE, and root cause analysis.
• Familiarity with metrology tools and precision measurement systems.
• Knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma tools.

Responsibilities

• Own and sustain backend processes; monitor yield, SPC trends, scrap, and KPIs.
• Perform root cause analysis (5 Why, Fishbone, DMAIC).
• Lead DOE, process characterization, Gage R&R, Cp/Cpk studies.
• Collaborate with equipment and automation teams to optimize recipes and reduce failures.
• Develop and release process documentation, PFMEA, and control plans.
• Support NPI builds, trials, tool conversions, IQ/OQ/PQ.
• Evaluate robustness, introduce materials, and work with suppliers on quality.
• Drive CI projects for yield uplift, cycle time, cost improvements, and digitization.
