Job summary

Gammon Construction Limited in Singapore is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to lead cost control, prepare budgets, and manage subcontract tenders. You will take off quantities, review BOQ, and negotiate quotations with stakeholders.

The role involves sub-contract administration, progress claims evaluation, final accounts, and ensuring compliance with NEC/REDAS forms. A degree in Quantity Surveying and 3–6 years of construction experience are expected, with senior candidates considered

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or related disciplines (Mechanical / Electrical / Civil & Structural Engineering)
• 3–6 years of experience in a similar role in the construction industry
• Experience with commercial building / M&E / LTA MRT or Depot projects
• Candidates with more experience will be considered for a senior role
• Knowledge of PSSCOC and/or REDAS and/or SIA and/or NEC standard forms of Contracts
• Meticulous, analytical, eye for details and a good team player
• Ability to multi-task in a fast paced and dynamic environment
• Highly motivated, self-driven with initiatives to work independently

Responsibilities

• Take off and measurement of quantities, and establish detailed BOQ
• Source, review and negotiate quotations
• Liaise with internal and external project stakeholders
• Attend project meetings including site walks for progress claims’ evaluation
• Project budget and cost control including prepare monthly financial budget report and presentations (For Senior position)
• Prepare RFQ Subcontract tender documents, analyze and prepare cost comparison, post tender clarifications, tender interview, and award recommendation report
• Sub-Contract administration including handling contractual documentation, correspondences and disputes matters
• Assess, verify and respond subcontractor's monthly progress claim, final account and variation orders in timely manner
