Job summary

SEARCH INDEX PTE. LTD. is seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to manage cost control and commercial activities on a HDB project in Singapore.

You will take off quantities, evaluate tenders, prepare costing analyses and coordinate subcontractor procurement. You will monitor costs, participate in interim valuations, variations and final accounts, and ensure compliance with contract requirements through rigorous negotiation and contract administration.

Qualifications

Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Building, Construction Management or related discipline.
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in the building and construction industry.
Strong experience in quantity take-off, tendering, costing and subcontractor procurement.
Hands-on experience in interim valuations, variations, claims and final accounts.
Good knowledge of construction contracts and contract administration.
Strong commercial, negotiation and analytical skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Able to work independently, manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Candidates with experience in value engineering and cost optimisation will have an added advantage.

Responsibilities

Take off quantities and source subcontractors and suppliers for tender submission.
Prepare and evaluate price comparisons, bid analysis and costing summaries.
Monitor project costs and ensure delivery within approved budget.
Conduct commercial negotiations with contractors and subcontractors.
Prepare interim valuations, progress claims and contract variations.
Prepare, review and negotiate final accounts.
Liaise with management, consultants, contractors and subcontractors on costing and contractual matters.
Control project scope and costs to achieve objectives.
