Job summary

MQ SERVICES & BUILDERS PTE. LTD. is seeking a diligent M&E Quantity Surveyor to support cost estimation, tendering and commercial administration on M&E and electrical projects in Singapore.

You will review drawings, prepare Bills of Quantities, monitor budgets, manage variations and assist with final accounts, liaising with project managers and suppliers. Fresh graduates are welcome; candidates with relevant M&E experience have an advantage.

Responsibilities

• As M&E Quantity Surveyor, prepare cost estimates, quotations for M&E/electrical projects, review tender drawings/specs, carry out quantity take-offs and prepare Bills of Quantities.
• Prepare progress claims, variation orders, monitor project costs and assist in final accounts; review subcontractor claims and maintain commercial records.
• Liaise with project managers, consultants, clients and subcontractors; assist with procurement and prepare commercial reports.

Job Responsibilities

As an M&E Quantity Surveyor, your responsibilities will include:

Tender & Estimation

• Prepare cost estimates and quotations for M&E and electrical projects.
• Review tender drawings, specifications and contract documents.
• Carry out quantity take-offs and prepare Bills of Quantities (BQ).
• Source and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations.
• Prepare tender submissions within required timelines.
• Assist in cost planning and value engineering.

Commercial Administration

• Prepare progress claims and payment applications.
• Prepare and evaluate variation order (VO) quotations.
• Monitor project costs and budgets.
• Assist in preparing final accounts.
• Review subcontractor claims and payment recommendations.
• Maintain accurate commercial records and documentation.

Project Support

• Liaise with project managers, consultants, clients and subcontractors.
• Monitor project progress and cost performance.
• Assist with procurement of materials and subcontractors.
• Prepare commercial reports and cost analysis.
• Support contract administration and project documentation.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building, Construction Management, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply. Candidates with relevant M&E or construction experience will have an advantage.
• Able to read construction and M&E drawings.
• Good analytical and numerical skills.
