Job summary

IDEA PRO CONSTRUCTION & ENGINEERING PTE. LTD. is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to prepare cost estimates and budgets for construction projects, evaluate quotations, and manage progress claims and final accounts.

Job description

Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare cost estimates, budgets, tender documents, Quotation for construction projects.
• Evaluate contractor quotations and monitor project costs.
• Handle progress claims, variation orders, and final accounts.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers on cost-related matters.
• Monitor project expenditure and ensure effective cost control.
• Read and understand construction drawings and coordinate with management and site engineers.
• Prepare material orders based on site requirements.
• Handle BCA, ISO, NCE and other site-related certifications, including applications, renewals, documentation, and follow-up processes.
• Maintain proper records and ensure required certifications and site documents are kept up to date.
• Support commercial, contractual, and general site administrative matters.
• Support commercial and contractual matters throughout the project.

Job Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant LTA construction site experience in Singapore.
• Good knowledge of construction drawings and quantity take-off
• Visit construction sites when required to carry out detailed measurements and quantity verification.
• Attend customer meetings, site meetings, and work briefings when required.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and MS Office; experience with quantity take-off software is an advantage.
• Good communication, coordination, and teamwork skills.
• Able to work independently and meet project deadlines.
• Candidates with experience in civil, drainage, roadwork, Trail Trench, Pipe Laying or LTA infrastructure & Site preparation projects are preferred.
• Singaporean candidates are preferred.
• Chinese-speaking ability will be an advantage.
