The successful candidate will be responsible for cost management, tendering, contract administration, progress claims, variations and subcontractor payments throughout the project lifecycle. The ideal candidate holds a Diploma or Degree in quantity surveying or a related field and has a proven track record in Singapore's construction sector.
We are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to support our construction and civil engineering projects in Singapore. The successful candidate will be responsible for cost management, tendering, contract administration, progress claims, variations and subcontractor payments throughout the project lifecycle.
Prepare cost estimates, budgets, quotations and tender submissions.
Carry out quantity take-offs and measurement of construction works.
Prepare and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations.
Source and obtain competitive quotations from subcontractors and suppliers.
Prepare and submit monthly progress claims to clients and consultants.
Assess, verify and process subcontractor progress claims and payments.
Identify, prepare, submit and follow up on variation orders and additional works.
Maintain proper records and supporting documents for claims and variations.
Monitor project costs against approved budgets and report cost variances.
Prepare project cash-flow forecasts and cost reports.
Review contract documents, specifications, drawings and Bills of Quantities (BQ).
Assist with contractual correspondence and commercial matters.
Coordinate closely with Project Managers, Site Engineers, consultants, clients and subcontractors.
Attend project, commercial and contractual meetings when required.
Prepare final accounts and negotiate settlement of project accounts.
Assist management in procurement and cost-control activities.
Ensure proper documentation for all commercial and contractual matters.
Perform other quantity surveying and contract administration duties assigned by Management.
