Quantity Surveyor / Executive Quantity Surveyor

Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor / Executive Quantity Surveyor to support pre-contract and post-contract activities for building and construction projects.
The successful candidate will be responsible for tendering, cost management, contract administration, progress claims, variation orders and final accounts. Candidates with relevant HDB project experience will have an advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage pre-contract and post-contract administration activities.
- Perform quantity take-offs for tenders and ongoing projects.
- Prepare documentation for sourcing quotations from subcontractors and suppliers.
- Prepare pre-tender estimates, tender documentation and cost assessments.
- Conduct tender exercises for subcontract works, including evaluation of quotations and recommendations for award.
- Liaise and coordinate with project, procurement and other internal teams.
- Prepare and manage progress claims, variation orders and related contractual documentation.
- Monitor project budgets, quantities and costs throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support cost control and commercial management of projects.
- Assess subcontractor claims and assist with payment certification where required.
- Manage and support the settlement of final accounts for main contracts and subcontracts.
- Provide contractual and commercial support to project teams.
- Perform other relevant duties assigned in support of project delivery.
Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Building, Construction Management or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant Quantity Surveying experience in the building or construction industry.
- Experience handling HDB or similar building construction projects will be an advantage.
- Experience in both pre-contract and post-contract quantity surveying activities.
- Good knowledge of tendering, progress claims, variation orders, cost control and final accounts.
- Able to interpret construction drawings, specifications and contract documents.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good attention to detail and ability to meet project deadlines.
- Good communication, coordination and stakeholder management skills.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively within a project team.
