Job summary

HRNET VENTURES PTE. LTD. is seeking a meticulous Senior Quantity Surveyor to support tendering and post-contract functions for government and construction projects.

The role requires strong experience in cost estimation, tender analysis, subcontract management and variation claims within the local construction industry. You will handle tender documents, quantity take-offs, quotations, and post-contract documentation across projects.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Building, Construction or Civil Engineering is required.
• Experience in cost estimation and tender analysis is essential.
• Experience with government project tenders is advantageous.
• Strong analytical, negotiation and cost evaluation skills are expected.

Responsibilities

• Collect and review tender documents for completeness and compliance.
• Perform detailed cost estimation, material take-offs, and man-hour calculations.
• Obtain quotations from local and overseas vendors for materials, equipment, and subcontract works.
• Compile and compare quotations, review pricing, and recommend competitive bids.
• Estimate indirect costs including staff, site establishment, and miscellaneous expenses.
• Prepare unit rates, equipment rates, and tender summaries for management review.
• Attend site visits and clarification meetings with clients.
• Support tender negotiations with necessary cost information.
• Assist in preparation of project variations, progress claims, and subcontract documentation.
• Coordinate with internal departments on commercial matters (e.g., insurance, contractual requirements).
• Prepare post-contract documentation transfer.
