Job summary

Rongda Pacific Pte Ltd is seeking an experienced Cost Planner/Quantity Surveyor to manage accurate cost planning, budgeting, take-offs, and tender submissions for interior design and joinery projects.

You will coordinate with suppliers, prepare monthly progress claims, evaluate subcontractor claims, and update budgets. The role requires a Diploma in Building Construction or Quantity Surveying, 3+ years local experience, AutoCAD and MS Excel proficiency, and bilingual English/Chinese.

Qualifications

• Must have Diploma in Building Construction or Quantity Surveying.
• 3+ years of local experience in interior design or joinery carpentry sector.
• Able to work independently with meticulous attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Overall responsible for cost planning and budget estimates.
• Take-off quantities and sourcing of sub-contractors and suppliers; tender submission preparation.
• Handle ongoing projects and resolve contractual issues with clients.
• Prepare monthly progress claims to clients and follow up for payment certification.
• Submit claims for variation works.
• Evaluate subcontractor progress claims, variation orders and finalisation of project accounts.
• Prepare reports, analyses, budgets, risk assessments and other documents.
• Advise managers and clients on improvements and new strategies.
• Document changes in design and update budgets.

About you

• At least Diploma in Building Construction or Quantity Surveying
• Above 3 years of local working experience in interior design or joinery carpentry sector
• Meticulous, initiative and able to work independently
• Able to handle Auto-CAD drawings and proficient in MS Office Excel
• Ability to work effectively in a team and delegate, but also able to work on own initiative
• Bilingual in English and Chinese in order to liaise with Mandarin speaking associates
• Willing to work on an alternate half Saturday
