Job summary

EDZ INTERIOR CONTRACTS PTE LTD in Singapore is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to perform full spectrum of duties, from tendering, cost estimation, and procurement to budgeting and final accounts.

You'll verify claims from suppliers and contractors, prepare project cost sheets, monitor budgets, and support value engineering to protect project performance.

This role requires attention to detail, ability to liaise with project teams, consultants, and clients, and a proactive approach to cost control.

Responsibilities

• Call for quotation from suppliers and contractors; ensure quotes are competitive.
• Prepare and submit progressive/final claims for payment to clients/consultants.
• Follow up with consultants on payment certification and submit tax invoices within required time period.
• Verify and certify suppliers/contractors claims.
• Handle all correspondences/documentation related to work scope.
• Sourcing and purchasing of materials and related products needed for production.
• Assist with procurement process with pm/fm and prepare procurement list.
• Attend site meeting or progress meeting with pm where required.
• Prepare project costing/budget sheet for approval.
• Manage project budget; provide value engineering to scope and materials during tenders and progress.
• Negotiate and definitising of sub-contractors/suppliers agreements with favourable terms and conditions.
• Gather all materials/specs for preparation of sample board submission.
• Attend site show round or tender briefing with pm/pd/sqs.
• Constantly monitor and report on progress of the project to sqs/pd.
• Ensure all project tenders and quotation are submitted on time.
• Do awarding of contracts and preparation of contracts related documents.
• Control and manage project costing within specific budgetary.
• Submit weekly updates on projects budget, costing and claim status.
• Attend weekly and fortnightly meetings.
• Evaluate contracts requirements and conditions migrating possible risks and to ensure terms and conditions of the contracts are duly complied.
• Prepare quotations to client and liaise with respective project team for work schedule to carry out assignment within given time frame(all outgoing quotations/correspondences will need to be vet through by immediate superior before sending out)
• Render support to project team with preparation of technical drawings(if require) materials quantities take off and cost estimation.
• To actively participate in ad hoc projects and other administrative duties.
• Company reserves all rights to amend above scope of work as and when necessary.

To perform the full spectrum of duties as a quantity surveyor

Responsible for direct execution of tendering processes, identify contract liabilities, preparation of quotation, obtaining all costing and specification of work/materials for pricing, prepare project costing sheet. Ensure competitive cost submit by suppliers/vendors/sub-contractors/contractors.

Verify and certify claims from suppliers/vendors and contractors. Prepare final accounts/progressive claims to clients/consultants.
