Job summary

ROMAN BUILDERS PTE LTD in Singapore is seeking a skilled commercial and cost manager to oversee the program of investment and planned works. You will coordinate with procurement, operations and planning teams to ensure value, controls and timely delivery.

You will measure and value works by the operations team and contractors, apply standard measurement methods for fabric and M&E works, and support designers in reviewing plans while safeguarding health and safety obligations.

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial and cost management aspects for the program delivery.
• Provide commercial and cost management support to procurement, operations and planning teams.
• Accurately measure and value works undertaken by the operational team and contractors.
• Knowledge of Standard Methods of Measurement for fabric works and Mechanical & Electrical installations.
• Work with the project management team to manage consultants, contractors and their supply chain.
• Understand and respect the needs of the end user in respect of building improvement and maintenance.
• Understand implications of health and safety regulations.
• Assist the designer in reviewing construction plans and preparing quantity requirements.
• Analyse costs for maintenance and additional building needs and negotiate with contractors and subcontractors.
• Maintain proper documentation for all tenders and sourcing quotations.
• Sourcing of quotations and evaluate quotations received from suppliers and subcontractors.

• To have a knowledge and understanding of the implications of health and safety regulations.
• Assist the designer in reviewing construction plans and preparing quantity requirements.
