Job summary

LITEC ENGINEERING PTE. LTD. in Singapore seeks a senior Quantity Surveyor to manage tendering, cost planning and contract administration for building projects. You will prepare tender documents, price tenders, negotiate subcontracts, and monitor project financials and progress.

The role requires a Diploma/Degree in Quantity Surveying and at least nine years of relevant experience, with a strong eye for detail and teamwork in a fast-paced construction environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
• Minimum of 9 years in Quantity Surveying within building construction.
• Knowledge of structural drawings useful for tendering and job orders.

Responsibilities

• Enroll tender process and prepare tender documents.
• Prepare profit and loss & final accounts for projects.
• Negotiate and award subcontractors; review subcontractor claims.
• Attend project meetings, tender interviews and inspections.
• Prepare cost plans and estimates for tenders and orders.
• Plan and schedule works per contractual schedules; monitor progress.
• Coordinate with sales, production, and clients on design specs.
• Assist in tender pricing and project budgeting.
• Ensure workplace safety and proper documentation.

Job description

Position : Quantity Surveyor

Roles and Responsibilities

• Enroll tender process
• Prepare tender documents
• Prepare profit and loss & final account for project.
• Negotiate and award subcontractors
• Attend project meetings ,tender interviews and inspections, report regularly on progress and monitor schedule
• Evaluate and certify subcontract claim and contractual payment
• Analysis and preparation of cost plan & estimate for tender and job order
• Plan and schedules works with reference to contractual schedules
• Coordinate instructions & monitor with sales team, production, and clients for job order & design specification, acceptance of work, progress of work, problem solving, handover completed project with project documents, etc...
• Plan & implement effective, efficient production and safe practices.
• Attend site meetings
• Collaborate with team to propose design and materials based on budget and client requirement to obtain material dimension, design & specification from site .
• Review and prepare agreements for award to subcontractors and suppliers
• Assist in preparing built-up tender pricing during tender stage
• Assist in preparation of project budget for management’s approval upon project award
• Ensure workplace is well-maintained, tidy & safe.

Requirements

• Candidate must possess at least Diploma / Degree in Quantity Surveyor/Building or equivalent experience in Building Construction firm.
• Minimum (NINE) 9 years of relevant working experience in Quantity Surveying Works in building construction firm.
• Knowledge of structural will be beneficial.
• Familiar with Structural drawings to prepare for tender and job order.
• Highly motivated Responsible& team player with good interpersonal skill.
