Job summary

SINGAPORE ENGINEERING & CONSTRUCTION PTE. LTD. is seeking a Quantity Surveyor in Singapore to oversee contract negotiations, prepare payment certificates, and manage tendering processes for subcontract packages.

The ideal candidate should have a Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering and at least 3 years of local experience in civil and building projects, demonstrating teamwork and initiative.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of local working experience in Civil and Building projects.
• Able to work independently with minimum supervision.

Responsibilities

• Prepare bill of quantities for tendering of subcontract packages.
• Handle contract negotiations with subcontractors.
• Monitor costs and ensure adherence to contract specifications.
• Prepare payment certificates for subcontractors.
• Evaluate and negotiate revisions to subcontract agreements.
• Prepare monthly progress claims to clients.
• Coordinate changes with design teams.

Job description

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare bill of quantities for tendering of subcontract packages including sourcing out of subcontractors/suppliers
• Handle contract negotiations with subcontractors/suppliers and prepare subcontract agreement
• Handle cost monitoring, adherence to contract specifications and drawings
• Prepare payment certificates of subcontractor
• Evaluate and negotiate revisions, changes and additions to contractual agreement with subcontractors
• Prepare variation orders and reconcile with the client’s quantity surveyors in accordance to the contract agreement
• Prepare monthly progress claim to client and assist in preparation of cashflow forecast for submission to client
• Coordinate changes in plans with design team and review the potential variation claims to client
• Provide assistance with either the tender process or project execution

Job Requirements

• Diploma / Degree in Quantity Surveying/ Civil Engineering or other related field
• Minimum 3 years of local working experience in Civil and Building projects
• A good team player with good initiative and positive work attitude
• Able to work independently with minimum supervision
