Job summary

Tap Growth ai is seeking a Quantity Surveyor with 3–4 years of tunnel construction experience to oversee commercial and contractual aspects of tunnelling projects. • Diploma or degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
• 3–4 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor on tunnel construction projects.
• Strong understanding of tunnelling processes, cost planning, contract administration and subcontractor management.
• Experience interpreting engineering drawings and evaluating variation claims.

Salary Range: S$3,500-$4,000

Responsibilities

• Overseethe commercial and contractual aspects of tunnelling projects, ensuringeffective financial management throughout the construction lifecycle.
• Developdetailed cost projections and financial forecasts for undergroundconstruction activities, including excavation, tunnel lining andassociated structural works.
• Reviewconstruction drawings, technical specifications and project documentationto determine material quantities and project cost requirements.
• Assesstender submissions, negotiate pricing with subcontractors and suppliers,and support procurement decisions for tunnelling works.
• Trackproject expenditures against allocated budgets, highlighting potentialcost overruns and proposing appropriate corrective measures.
• Administercontractual claims, variations and payment applications in accordance withproject requirements and contractual obligations.
• Coordinatewith project engineers, site teams and subcontractors to validate work progressand substantiate payment entitlements.
• Analyseconstruction methodologies, resource utilisation and subcontractor pricingto enhance cost efficiency and commercial performance.
• Resolvecommercial and contractual issues with clients, consultants and projectstakeholders to facilitate smooth project execution.
• Compileperiodic financial reports, cash flow forecasts and project cost summarieswhile supporting the settlement of final accounts.

Requirements

• Diplomaor Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, ConstructionManagement, Building or a related discipline.
• Minimum3-4 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor specifically in tunnelconstruction projects, such as MRT tunnels, bored tunnels, cut-and-covertunnels or other underground infrastructure works.
• Soundunderstanding of tunnelling construction processes, quantity measurement,cost planning, contract administration and subcontractor management.
• Competentin interpreting engineering drawings, evaluating variation claims andusing quantity surveying software & Microsoft Office applications.
• Stronganalytical, negotiation, communication and problem-solving skills, withthe ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary projectteams and manage competing deadlines.
