Job summary

Talent-Merge Pte Ltd is seeking a Quantity Surveyor with 3–4 years of tunnel construction experience to oversee commercial and contractual aspects of tunnelling projects in Singapore. You will develop cost projections, review drawings, assess tenders and track expenditures against budgets.

The role requires reputable QS qualifications and strong negotiation, communication, and MS Office proficiency to support procurement and final accounts.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in quantity surveying or related field.
• 3–4 years in tunnel construction projects (MRT, bored, cut-and-cover).
• Ability to read drawings, estimate variations and manage costs.
• Proficient in QS software and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the commercial and contractual aspects of tunnelling projects and manage finances.
• Develop detailed cost projections and forecasts for underground construction activities.
• Review drawings, specs and docs to determine materials and costs.
• Assess tender submissions, negotiate pricing with subcontractors and support procurement decisions.
• Track expenditures against budgets and propose corrective measures.
• Administer contractual claims, variations and payments.
• Coordinate with engineers, site teams and subcontractors to validate progress and entitlements.
• Analyze methodologies and subcontractor pricing to improve cost efficiency.
• Resolve commercial issues with clients and stakeholders.
• Compile financial reports and cash flow forecasts for cost summaries.
