Job summary

SIM SENG HIN SAWMILL COMPANY (PTE.) LIMITED is looking for a Quantity Surveyor to manage interior fit-out and joinery cost control, tendering, and contract administration.

You will prepare quotations, cost estimates, Bills of Quantities, and monitor variations and progress claims, ensuring timely delivery and budget adherence in Singapore.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in QS/Building or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years (QS) / 10+ years (Senior QS) of relevant experience in interior fit-out/joinery.
• Able to work independently with min supervision.
• A good team player with the ability to meet deadlines.
• Positive work attitude, seek continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Able to take off quantities efficiently.
• Liaise and negotiate with suppliers & contractors related to projects.
• Prepare quotations, cost estimates and bills of quantities.
• Keep track of Variation Orders.
• Certification of progress claims from sub-contractors.
• Keep track of final account and variation orders.
• Prepare contract administration for client, consultants, sub- contractor.
• Assist estimation, cost planning and forecast budgeting.
• Prepare Monthly Progress Claim to Client and Sub-Contractors.
• Prepare for Payment Response to sub-contractor and suppliers and keeping trace of response.
• Prepare technical details and costing for tender submission.
• Sourcing of materials and obtaining quotations for evaluation.
• Carry out other Contracts administration activities.
• Other quantity surveying related duties as assigned.
