Job summary

ascension advisory pte. ltd. is seeking a seasoned Quality Director to lead the Quality team in a manufacturing setting. You will set quality policies, drive CAPA, and align operations with ISO 9001 and RoHS/REACH requirements.

Reporting to the Operations Director, you will establish QC checkpoints, monitor KPIs, and partner with Production and Purchasing to ensure product quality and supplier conformance across the EMS facility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related quality or engineering field.
• 10+ years quality in manufacturing with 5+ years leadership.
• CQE/CQM/CQIA or Six Sigma certification is an advantage.
• Strong ISO 9001 knowledge and regulatory compliance (RoHS/REACH).
• Proficient in RCA, FMEA, SPC, CAPA.
• Experience with MES for traceability and in-process QC.

• Oversee inspections, audits and compliance assessments.
• Lead RCA investigations and drive CAPA.

• Drive continuous improvement across the facility.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Operations Director.

Job Responsibilities

• Lead, manage and develop the Quality team, including Quality Engineers, Technicians and Line Supervisors, to ensure effective execution of daily quality assurance and control activities.
• Develop, implement and maintain quality management policies, procedures and standards to meet customer requirements and business objectives.
• Establish and monitor quality control checkpoints across manufacturing processes to identify defects, prevent non-conformities and ensure product quality.
• Oversee regular product inspections, process audits and compliance assessments to ensure adherence to ISO standards, customer specifications and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Lead investigations into quality issues, conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and drive effective Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) to prevent recurrence.
• Work closely with Manufacturing and Production teams to address quality issues, improve process control and enhance overall manufacturing performance.
• Manage supplier quality performance in collaboration with Purchasing and Sourcing teams, ensuring the quality and compliance of raw materials and components.
• Establish, monitor and report key quality performance indicators (KPIs), quality trends and operational metrics to senior management.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve product quality, process efficiency and operational excellence across the facility.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Operations Director.

Requirements

• Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Quality Management, Industrial Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or a related discipline.
• At least 10 years of relevant quality experience in a manufacturing environment, with a minimum of 5 years in a managerial, leadership or supervisory capacity.
• Professional quality certifications such as ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Certified Quality Manager (CQM), Certified Quality Improvement Associate (CQIA), or Six Sigma Green Belt / Black Belt will be an advantage.
• Strong knowledge and practical experience in implementing and maintaining ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
• Familiarity with regulatory and product compliance requirements, including RoHS and REACH.
• Strong technical knowledge of Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
• Experience using Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) for production traceability, non-conformance monitoring and in-process quality control.
• Strong leadership, analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
