Job summary

JTE Recruit Pte Ltd on behalf of its client in Singapore's manufacturing sector is seeking a Quality Engineer to drive quality improvements and ensure compliant manufacturing processes.

The role involves monitoring quality performance, troubleshooting daily issues, and leading corrective actions across processes, suppliers, and customers. You will also participate in audits and SOP updates to sustain standards.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Engineering or related fields.
• Minimum 5 years' experience as Quality Engineer in manufacturing.
• Familiar with QC core tools, SPC, 8D, APQP, PFMEA, and Control Plans.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, TS16949, PPAP, and quality management systems.

Responsibilities

• Monitor quality performance and drive improvement initiatives to meet production and quality targets.
• Lead the team in troubleshooting daily process and assembly quality issues, including scrap and yield improvement activities.
• Review and disposition non-conforming materials, customer returns, and quality rejects to prevent defective shipments.
• Analyze quality data and collaborate with internal teams and suppliers on corrective and preventive actions.
• Create, review, and update SOPs, control plans, inspection checklists, and quality procedures.
• Handle customer quality issues by conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective and preventive actions.
• Conduct process, customer, and supplier audits to ensure compliance with quality standards and audit readiness.
• Perform MSA, process qualification, validation, and error-proofing activities to improve manufacturing quality.
