Job summary

Yamazaki Mazak Singapore Pte Ltd is seeking a Quality Improvement Specialist to manage and improve quality documentation systems, ensuring compliance with ISO standards and internal policies. You will develop SOPs, inspection protocols, and manuals, while maintaining document control and supporting audits across QA, QC, Engineering, and Production.

The role requires a Diploma or Bachelor’s in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering, 2–3 years in QA/inspection in manufacturing, and strong communication

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 2–3 years of quality assurance/inspection experience in manufacturing.
• Experience in quality auditing and QA in manufacturing/engineering environments.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; able to interpret drawings and specs.
• Independent, detail-oriented, and able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
• Knowledge of machining processes, CNC technologies, and machine tools is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop, review, and maintain quality documentation (SOPs, work instructions, inspection protocols, manuals).
• Ensure documents comply with ISO 9001/14001 and internal policies.
• Maintain document control with versioning and archiving of obsolete docs.
• Collaborate with QA, QC, Engineering, Production to gather inputs.
• Conduct internal and external audits; prepare required documentation.
• Train staff on documentation standards and procedures.
• Assist CAPA implementation related to documentation issues.
• Analyse performance data to identify improvements and measure impact.

Measure the impact of improvements and adjust strategies.Qualifications & Requirements:Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience in a quality assurance or inspection role within a manufacturing environmentProven experience in quality auditing, quality assurance, or similar roles within a manufacturing or engineering environment.Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments and present findings to various levels of management.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and continuous improvement.Detail-oriented, with the ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with a commitment to delivering high-quality training solutions tailored to the needs of machinery manufacturing.Familiarity with machining processes, CNC technologies, and machine tool operations is highly advantageous.
