Job summary

ERATECH PTE. LTD. in Singapore seeks a dedicated in-process quality control specialist to establish and maintain inspection requirements, control plans and sampling.

You will conduct first-off and in-process inspections across CNC turning, milling, assembly and related processes, ensuring adherence to drawings, procedures and traceability. The role also covers final outgoing checks, NCR management, root-cause analysis and collaboration with Production and Engineering.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain in-process inspection requirements, control plans, sampling frequency and acceptance criteria.
  • Coordinate first-off, patrol and stage inspections across CNC turning, milling, assembly and related processes.
  • Verify operators follow drawings, work instructions, inspection methods, process controls and traceability requirements.
  • Monitor critical dimensions and trends; identify variation early and initiate containment.
  • Set up and operate CMM for in-process and final inspection; interpret CMM reports to confirm conformity.
  • Support first article inspections and production start-up by verifying readiness and closing open quality issues before release.
  • Define and execute final inspections and outgoing quality checks per customer, drawings and Eratech requirements.
  • Review inspection records and traceability documents before shipment release.
  • Identify, segregate and disposition non-conforming material; ensure only accepted product proceeds to packing and delivery.
  • Authorize or recommend product release within delegated authority.
  • Coordinate urgent re-inspection, sorting or recovery actions to protect delivery without compromising conformity.
  • Raise and manage NCRs with containment, defect characterization and closure evidence.
  • Lead root-cause analysis and verify effectiveness of corrective actions.
  • Facilitate MRB discussions for use-as-is, rework, repair or scrap decisions.
  • Support customer complaint investigations with accurate production and traceability evidence.
  • Escalate repeated defects and process drift with impact assessments and actions.
  • Analyze defect data to identify high-risk parts and recurring failures.
  • Collaborate with Production and Engineering to improve methods, tooling and inspection controls.
  • Support capability studies and validation of new or changed processes.
  • Train inspectors and operators on inspection standards and defect criteria.
  • Maintain quality records and contribute to audits.

Job description

In-process quality control
  • Establish, review and maintain in-process inspection requirements, control plans, sampling frequency and acceptance criteria based on drawings, routing and process risk.
  • Conduct or coordinate first-off, patrol and stage inspections across CNC turning, milling, assembly, deburring and related production processes.
  • Verify that operators follow approved drawings, work instructions, inspection methods, process controls and traceability requirements.
  • Monitor critical dimensions and process trends; identify abnormal variation early and initiate containment before defects move to the next operation.
  • Set up and operate the Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) for in-process and final dimensional inspection, and interpret CMM reports to confirm product conformity and identify dimensional trends.
  • Support First Article Inspection and production start-up by verifying process readiness, inspection results and closure of open quality issues before release.
Outgoing quality and product release
  • Define and execute final inspection and outgoing quality checks in accordance with customer, drawing and Eratech requirements.
  • Review inspection records, certificates, traceability documents, treatment reports and other required quality documentation before shipment release.
  • Confirm that non-conforming material is identified, segregated and dispositioned, and that only accepted product proceeds to packing and delivery.

Non-conformance and corrective action
  • Raise and manage internal non-conformance reports (NCRs), including containment, defect characterization, disposition follow-up and closure evidence.
  • Lead structured root-cause analysis using 5 Why, Fishbone, Pareto, 8D or other suitable methods, and verify the effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions.
  • Facilitate Material Review Board discussions with Quality, Engineering and Production for use-as-is, rework, repair or scrap decisions within authorized requirements.
  • Support customer complaint investigations and provide accurate production, inspection and traceability evidence for corrective-action responses.
  • Escalate repeated defects, process drift, overdue corrective actions and shipment risks with clear impact assessment and recommended actions.
Process improvement and production support
  • Analyze in-process and outgoing defect data to identify high-risk parts, machines, operations and recurring failure modes.
  • Work with Production and Engineering to improve machining methods, fixtures, tooling, work instructions, inspection methods and error-proofing controls.
  • Support process capability studies, measurement-system checks and validation of new or changed manufacturing processes where required.
  • Train and guide inspectors, technicians and operators on inspection standards, defect criteria and quality-control requirements.
  • Maintain accurate quality records and contribute to internal, customer and certification audits related to production and outgoing quality.
