Job summary

FONG'S ENGINEERING AND MANUFACTURING PTE LTD is seeking a meticulous Quality Inspector to perform dimensional and functional inspections using a CMM and allied tools in a Singapore-based manufacturing environment.

You will record data, support calibration and preventive maintenance, and help ensure traceability and conformance of parts throughout production. The role emphasizes data integrity and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Perform dimensional/functional inspection of FA, incoming, in-process or outgoing parts using CMM and other inspection tools.
• Ensure inspection equipment used complies with calibration and preventive maintenance requirements.
• Record inspection and monitoring data in accordance with records control requirements.
• Initiate non-conformance procedures when inspection fails and segregate non-conforming parts.
• Maintain product identification, status and traceability throughout product realization.

Responsibilities

• Assist Calibration Engineer to liaise with calibration supplier and equipment owner for prompt calibration.
• Monitor calibration activities and prepare monthly calibration status reports.
• Assist Quality Manager to ensure equipment compliance with preventive maintenance requirements.
• Escalate non-conforming equipment or tools to Quality Engineer or Quality Manager.
• Maintain the manufacturing environment and participate in 5S and yield improvement programs.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Job description

Perform dimensional/functional inspection of First Article (FA), Incoming, In-process or Outgoing parts using Coordinate Measurement Machine (CMM) and/or other inspection equipment/tools to ensure that components and products conform to specifications.

Ensure equipment and tools use during inspection comply with Calibration and Preventive Maintenance requirements.

Perform recording of inspection data, monitoring data and other data in accordance to Records Control requirements.

Initiate non-conformance procedure when inspection fails and ensure segregation of non-conforming parts in accordance to Control of Non-Conforming Material.

Ensure that product identification, status and traceability is maintained throughout product realization in accordance with relevant Standard Operating Procedures

Assist the Calibration Engineer to liaise with calibration supplier and equipment owner as necessary to ensure prompt calibration of all equipment.

Assist the Calibration Engineer to monitor calibration activities and prepare monthly calibration status report to management.

Assist the Quality Manager to ensure the compliance of equipment in accordance with Preventive Maintenance requirements. Liaise with equipment owner to ensure prompt completion of all preventive maintenance activities.

Assist the Quality Manager to monitor preventive maintenance activities and prepare monthly preventive maintenance status report to management.

Escalate to Quality Engineer or Quality Manager when equipment or tool does not comply with Calibration and Preventive Maintenance requirements.

Maintain the manufacturing environment.

Participate in continuous improvement programmes such as 5S program, yield improvement projects etc.

Perform other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
