Job summary

Private Advertiser in Singapore seeks a diligent Quality Engineer to drive QA/QC processes, resolve non-conformances, and implement corrective actions. You will manage inspections, CoC preparation, and KPI reporting, while coordinating with suppliers and internal teams to improve the QMS.

The role requires 3+ years in quality engineering, familiarity with ISO standards and GD&T, and hands-on experience with precision measuring tools like SmartScope/CMM. Based in Singapore, standard hours apply.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in Quality Engineering, QA or QC.
• Experience with C-parts, fasteners or precision components is advantageous.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001; ISO 14001/45001 is a plus.
• Experience in 8D, RCA, CAPA, complaints, supplier quality and internal audits.
• Understanding of engineering drawings and dimensional inspection.
• Experience with SmartScope, CMM or vision measurement systems preferred.
• Familiarity with GD&T and international/customer quality standards is beneficial.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and good communication.

Responsibilities

• Handle customer complaints and supplier quality issues, incl. 8D and corrective actions.
• Investigate non-conformances, perform RCA, and implement corrective/preventive actions.
• Identify, segregate, and control non-conforming products and determine disposition.
• Liaise with suppliers on rejected parts including replacement and credits.
• Conduct incoming, first article, and outgoing inspections.
• Perform dimensional inspection using SmartScope and other equipment.
• Ensure parts meet drawings and standards such as ISO, ANSI, DIN, JIS, ASME.
• Prepare and issue CoC and outgoing inspection reports to customers.
• Prepare and analyse quality KPI data for management reviews.
• Maintain quality records and documentation; update QMS as needed.
• Develop and maintain internal quality audit programme; conduct audits.
• Follow up corrective actions from audits with timelines and owners.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and issueCertificate of Conformance (COC)and Outgoing Inspection Reports to customers as required.
• Prepare and analyseQuality KPI data and reportsfor management review.
• Maintain relevant quality records, reports, inspection results, and documentation.
• Ensure the company's Quality Management System is established, implemented, maintained, and continuously improved in accordance withISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 4501.
• Prepare, review, maintain, and update quality procedures, work instructions, forms, Quality Manual, and related documentation.
• Develop and maintain thecompany-wide internal quality audit programme.
• Plan, coordinate, and conduct internal quality audits across different departments.
• Identify audit findings and work with Department Heads to establish corrective actions and completion timelines.
• Follow up and ensure corrective actions arising from internal and external audits are completed effectively and on time.
• Support management review activities and implement necessary improvements to the quality management system.
• Ensure quality system practices and procedures remain current and aligned with company and customer requirements.

Requirements

• Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum3 years of relevant experiencein Quality Engineering, Quality Assurance, or Quality Control.
• Experience inC-parts, fasteners, precision componentswill be highly advantageous.
• Good knowledge ofISO 9001. Knowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 is an advantage.
• Experience in8D, Root Cause Analysis, CAPA, customer complaints, supplier quality, and internal audits.
• Good understanding of engineering drawings and dimensional inspection.
• Experience withSmartScope, CMM, vision measurement systems, or other measuring equipmentis preferred.
• Familiarity withGD&Tand international/customer-specific quality standards will be an advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills with the ability to work effectively with customers, suppliers, and internal departments.
• Independent, detail-oriented, responsible, and hands-on in resolving quality issues.
