Job summary

HOYA Electronics Singapore Pte Ltd is seeking a Quality Control Technician to support our QC operations on-site in Singapore. You will work closely with engineers, perform equipment checks, set up machines, troubleshoot, and carry out routine maintenance.

The role requires a NITEC/Diploma in Engineering (or related field) or 1–2 years in semiconductor inspection, with strong Excel skills and a proactive, team-oriented mindset to improve quality and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily checks and routine maintenance on quality control equipment; set up machine recipes when required.

• Manage QC spare parts inventory and prepare reports; analyze trends.

Get to Know the Role

We are looking for a Quality Control Technician to support our quality control operations. You will work closely with engineers, assisting them in daily tasks and equipment-relatedactivities. This role requires hands-on involvement in performing quality control equipment checks, machine setup, troubleshooting, and routine maintenance, as well as conducting tests, inspections, managing inventory, preparing reports, and supporting overall quality and operational efficiency.

Essential Responsibilities

• Perform daily checks and routine maintenance on quality control equipment to ensure stable operation, including setting up machine recipes when required
• Assist engineers with troubleshooting and support measurement requests
• Conduct incoming material inspections, process system releases, and carry out regular cleanroom air particle count measurements
• Manage quality control spare parts inventory while preparing reports and analyzing trends

Skills and Competencies Profile

Required Qualifications:

• NITEC /Diploma in Engineering, or a related field, OR
• 1 - 2 years of relevant working experience in the semiconductor industry, or prior experience in inspection, or related roles, is preferred

Technical Skills:

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel

Soft Skills:

• Able to work independently with initiative and strong accountability
• Strong team player with excellent communication andproblem-solving skills
• Strong ability to work both independentely and as part of a cross-functional team

Additional Information

• Willing to work in 12-hour rotating shift (4 working day / 3 rest day / 3 working day / 4 restday), 12-hour fixed shift will be preferred
• Able to work in a cleanroom environment and perform overtime as and when necessary
