Job summary

HOYA Electronics Singapore Pte Ltd is seeking a Process Engineer (Clean) to monitor, optimize and improve our leading-edge mask blank cleaning processes. You will analyze data, troubleshoot, and run experiments to sustain quality and productivity while collaborating with Production, Engineering and QA teams.

Fresh graduates are welcome; 2–3 years in wet cleaning or related semiconductor processes preferred. Proficiency in Excel and data analysis, plus good statistical knowledge, are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, Materials Engineering or a related engineering discipline
• Fresh graduates with relevant academic projects, internships or exposure to semiconductor manufacturing are welcome to apply.
• 2-3 years of relevant experience in wet cleaning, wet etching, clean technology, CMP polishing or a related semiconductor manufacturing process is preferred.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with Excel for data analysis.
• Good knowledge of statistical analysis, with experience of using data analysis related tools Klarity, SPC, etc.
• Proactive, hands‑on and able to work independently while contributing positively within a team.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions.
• Comfortable working in a cleanroom and manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Process owner of mask blank manufacturing cleaning machines.
• Support the start-up, qualification and ongoing maintenance of cleaning equipment and processes to meet production requirements and quality standards.
• Implement and maintain Statistical Process Control methods to ensure robust and stable cleaning processes.
• Investigate & analyse root causes and drive effective corrective actions.
• Monitor & optimize procedures and implement necessary changes or improvements.
• Design and execute experiments, analyse data and continuously improve process capability and stability to enhance quality, cost & productivity.
• Maintain stock level of critical spare parts and consumables to support uninterrupted mass production.

Get to Know the Role

The Process engineer (Clean) will be responsible for monitoring, optimising and improving our leading-edge mask blank manufacturing cleaning process. In this role, you will analyse cleaning process data, conduct troubleshooting & experiments to sustain and improve cleaning process quality & productivity. This role requires close collaboration with Production, Engineering and Quality Assurance team to to ensure stable manufacturing operations and compliance with established quality standards.
