Job summary

HONFON (SOUTH PACIFIC) ENGINEERING PTE. LTD. is seeking a Quality Inspector/NDT professional to perform visual and dimensional inspections, review material certifications, and witness tests at SAC-accredited labs.

The role includes ensuring welding compliance, monitoring punch lists, and liaising with various stakeholders. The candidate should hold a Diploma in Quality or Mechanical Engineering with 1–3 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Quality/Mechanical Engineering or similar.
• 1–3 years of experience as Quality Inspector / NDT for drilling tools.
• NDT Level II certification in MT, UT & PT is a plus.
• API 653 certification; additional API certifications desirable.
• Proficiency in English and Mandarin for liaison with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Perform Visual and Dimensional Inspection.
• Review material mill test certificates and verify raw materials and welding consumables.
• Witness mechanical testing at SAC Accredited lab and supervise welding fit-ups.
• Witness NDT such as UT, MT & PT performed by NDT companies.
• Review Test Pack and witness Hydrostatic testing.
• Reinstatement of piping system completion and clearing punch lists.

• Review of material mill test certificates and verification of raw materials and welding consumables.
• Select test samples and witness mechanical testing at SAC Accredited lab. Perform fit up inspection and monitor all stages of welding
• Perform Visual and dimensional Inspection
• Reinstatement of various piping system completion, clearing punch list items
• Client QC and sub-cons on effective implementation of Quality activities
• Review Quality Manual, Inspection Test Plan (ITP), Welding Procedure Specification (WPS),
• Witness NDT such as UT, MT & PT performed by NDT companies
• Review Test Pack & Witness Hydrostatic testing.
• Reinstatement of various piping system completion, clearing punch list items
• Perform Visual and Dimensional Inspection
• Client QC and sub-cons on effective implementation of Quality activities

Job requirements

• Diploma in Quality / Mechanical Engineering or other relevant discipline
• 1 - 3 years of relevant experience in Quality Inspector / NDT for drilling tools
• Possess NDT Level II certification in MT, UT & PT is a plus
• Possess API 653 certification, additional certification in ASNT-TC-1A, API 510 and 570 would be desirable.
• Proficiency in both spoken and writtenEnglish and Mandarinis mandatory to liaise effectively with various stakeholders.
