Job summary

PVH (Tommy Hilfiger/Calvin Klein) is seeking a QA Engineer for site-based piping projects in Tampines. You will develop quality plans, review drawings, and oversee QC across material, fabrication, installation, and commissioning stages.

Responsibilities include NDT coordination, hydrostatic testing, welding inspection, and maintaining thorough inspection records with clear corrective actions. Diploma in Mechanical Engineering and 1–2 years' experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma or higher qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• At least 1-2 years of related experience.
• Knowledge of Welding Inspection standards, including AWS and/or CSWIP certification, is preferred.
• Familiarity with quality auditing principles or Auditor certification is an advantage.
• Experience in base-build piping fabrication, hook-up module fabrication, structural and piping weld inspections, and Non-Destructive Testing (NDT).
• Hands-on experience conducting piping line walks and reinstatement inspections with the ability to accurately interpret isometric drawings.

• Review engineering drawings, specifications, and project documents to ensure compliance with client requirements and industry standards.
• Oversee quality control activities across all project stages, including material procurement, fabrication, installation, and commissioning.
• Conduct visual and dimensional inspections of piping materials and components to ensure conformity with approved drawings and specifications.
• Coordinate and supervise Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) activities, including RT, UT, PT, and MT.
• Perform hydrostatic and pneumatic testing to verify piping system integrity and leak-tightness.
• Perform incoming material inspections, review certificates, and ensure proper storage, handling, and preservation of materials.
• Evaluate welding procedures, welder qualifications, and inspect welded joints, including radiographic examinations, to ensure weld quality.
• Maintain inspection records and prepare detailed quality reports covering findings, non-conformities, and corrective actions.
• Collaborate closely with engineering, procurement, construction, and project management teams to address quality-related concerns and provide technical guidance.
• Liaise with project teams and stakeholders to resolve quality issues, ensure compliance with ASME B31.3, API 570, and other relevant standards, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
