Job summary

United Microelectronics Corporation (UMC) is seeking a quality-focused engineer in Singapore to plan and implement critical quality systems. You will drive abnormal handling, MRB governance, internal audits, and measurement system analysis to reduce quality loss and costs for the company and customers.

You will also oversee automotive service package planning and execution, contributing to strong process integrity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years working experience in semiconductor industry.
• Familiar with Fab process flow is an additional advantage for considerations.
• Experience in QA field is also an advantage for considerations.
• Ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement the Abnormal Handling (ABS/PAR/IEAR/BPD) system, assisting the FAB reviewing process abnormalities and establishing an early warning notification system.
• Plan and implement the MRB (Material Review Board) to assist in reviewing waived products from process abnormalities and to supervise system effectiveness.
• Plan and implement internal audits to identify processes and systems with quality risks and supervise improvements to risk processes.
• Plan and implement the MSA (Measurement System Analysis) system to calibrate and assess instrument capability for reliable measurement values.
• Implement the automotive service package, planning methods and auditing execution for automotive products.

Job description

1. Plan and implement the Abnormal Handling (ABS/PAR/IEAR/BPD) system, assisting the FAB reviewing process abnormalities establishing an early warning notification system, with the aim of reducing quality loss and cost for the company and customers, and supervising the effectiveness of system execution.

2. Plan and implement the MRB (Material Review Board), assisting the FAB reviewing waived products resulting from process abnormalities, in order to reduce quality loss and cost for the company and customers, and supervising the effectiveness of the system.

3. Plan and implement internal audits, assisting the FAB in identifying processes and systems with quality risks, and supervising the effectiveness of improvements to risk processes.

4. Plan and implement the MSA (Measurement System Analysis) system, assisting the FAB in performing calibration and capability assessment of measuring instruments to ensure the reliability of measurement values and thus ensure product quality.

5. Implement the automotive service package, assisting the FAB in planning executable methods and systems, and auditing and supervising the execution process for automotive products
