Job summary

United Microelectronics Corporation (UMC) Singapore is seeking a Test Equipment Support Engineer to maintain, calibrate and troubleshoot all testing equipment, supporting online production test and yield improvements. The role requires solving issues, coordinating with teams, and ensuring equipment reliability across shifts.

You will participate in maintenance and improvements, contribute to cost reductions, and work closely with manufacturing to meet customer specifications while developing

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• Min 1 year related job experience.
• Knowledge of wafer fab facility process control and field instrument experience.
• Creative problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent critical thinking and numeracy.
• Able to commit to rotating day and night shifts.
• Strong team working skills with leadership ability.
• Able to work independently and handle stress effectively.
• Familiar with Tester/Prober system maintenance is a plus.
