Job summary

United Microelectronics Corporation (UMC) is expanding its Singapore Fab and inviting engineers to join a next-generation hub. You will gain hands-on exposure to leading semiconductor technologies through guided mentorship, with clear career pathways designed to build core skills.

As part of a growth-focused team, you will work on quality and process improvements, coordinate audits, and collaborate across functions to meet customer requirements, contributing to the company’s manufacturing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry or Physics is required.
• Basic understanding of semiconductor technology.
• >3 years’ relevant experience in module process/integration and/or quality field handling customer.
• Knowledge of 8D problem solving, statistical techniques, PPAP and planning/project management is an advantage.
• Knowledge of ISO9001/ISO/TS16949 or VDA6.3 standards and audit handling/experience is preferred.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills; capable of effective collaboration with external partners and customers.
• Proficiency in presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Handle customer complaints, returns, and improvement requests; monitor progress and ensure efficient resolution.
• Coordinate customer audits, QA visits, and surveys, including follow-up activities to address findings.
• Manage customer requests and maintain relevant customer satisfaction metrics, representing the company’s technical excellence and reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues and meet customer requirements, driving product quality improvements.
