Job summary

HARWIN ASIA PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to act as the front-end gatekeeper for incoming products. You will perform IQC, verify components against drawings, and ensure compliance with IEC/ISO standards while maintaining documentation in ERP.

You will quarantine non-conforming parts and coordinate CAPA/NCR processes, supporting NPD activities and cross-functional collaboration with HQ, suppliers, and customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Production, Quality, or equivalent.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Experience with inspection equipment such as vernier calipers, go/no-go gauges, and optical scopes.
• Meticulous, detail-oriented, and capable of identifying subtle defects.
• Strong coordination and communication across cross-functional teams and external parties.

Responsibilities

• Perform IQC through visual and contact measurement inspections per AQL criteria.
• Validate components against drawings and specifications; maintain documentation.
• Update inspection records in ERP systems after inspections.
• Quarantine non-conforming parts and coordinate disposition (RTV, rework, scrap).
• Support New Product Development activities including FAI, qualification, drawing conversion, and sample room management.
• Conduct supplier audits and manage CAPA and NCR processes.
• Collaborate with HQ, warehouse, procurement, finance, customers, and external partners.
• Support ad-hoc quality and operational tasks.

RoleDefinition:

The Quality Assurance Engineer serves as the front-end gatekeeper responsible for ensuring all incoming products meet required quality, reliability, integrity, and compliance standards. This role focuses on incoming qualitycontrol (IQC), supplier quality management, and regulatory adherence to ensure components conform to specifications, standards, and customer expectations. The engineer will also manage non-conformance processes, including CAPA and NCR, and support new product development and cross-functional coordination.

KeyResponsibilities:

• Perform Incoming Quality Control (IQC) through visual and contact/contactless measurement inspection of connector components in accordance with prescribed AQL and inspection criteria.
• Validate components against technical drawings and specifications; maintain proper documentation samples, and record retention.
• Update inspection record and process results in ERP systems upon completion of inspections.
• Quarantine non-conforming (NC) parts and coordinate disposition (RTV, rework, scrap, etc.).
• Support New Product Development (NPD) activities including FAI, qualification, drawing conversion, and sample room management.
• Conduct supplier audits and manage CAPA and NCR processes, ensuring timely follow-up and closure with internal and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with HQ, warehouse, procurement, finance, customers, and external partners.
• Support ad-hoc quality and operational tasks as required.

Preferred Knowledge & Advantage:

• Familiarity with IEC 61076 series, ISO standards, VDE, CE, RoHS, and REACH regulations.

Basic Requirements:

• Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Production, Quality, or equivalent.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Hands-on experience using inspection equipment such as vernier calipers, go/no-go gauges, optical scope, and other precision measuring tools.
• Meticulous, detail-oriented, and capable of identifying subtle defects (e.g., plating colour deviations).
• Physically fit to handle inspection tasks involving small and intricate components.
• Strong coordination and communication skills across cross-functional teams and external parties.
