Qualifications

• Minimum 3-5 years of QHSE experience in a highly regulated industry.
• Experience in marine, offshore, shipyard or related sectors is advantageous.
• ISO Lead Auditor certification is a plus.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work across cultures, countries and levels within the organisation.
• Excellent written and spoken English.

Regional QHSE Manager - APAC & Middle East

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Regional QHSE Manager to lead Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental initiatives across the APAC and Middle East region.

This is a regional role within a highly regulated marine and offshore environment, responsible for strengthening QHSE standards, ensuring regulatory and certification compliance, supporting operational teams, and driving continuous improvement across multiple locations.

The successful candidate will work closely with global and regional management, local QHSE teams and operational stakeholders to establish a consistent and effective QHSE culture across the region.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain, implement and continuously improve the organisation's Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental Management System.
• Provide guidance to regional and local teams on QHSE policies, procedures, standards and documentation.
• Coordinate and oversee external audits, internal audits, inspections and certification activities across the region.
• Monitor and ensure timely closure of non-conformities, near misses, observations and corrective actions.
• Lead investigations into incidents, accidents and safety-related events and ensure effective corrective and preventive actions.
• Support customer audits, QHSE questionnaires, compliance reviews and other customer-related QHSE requirements.
• Promote and drive a strong safety culture across offices, workshops, vessels, shipyards and operational sites.
• Develop and deliver QHSE training, awareness programmes and safety initiatives.
• Support the implementation of ESG and sustainability initiatives across the region.
• Coordinate QHSE activities across multiple locations and work collaboratively with local QHSE representatives and operational teams.
• Develop, implement and monitor regional QHSE guidelines and best practices.
• Monitor changes in legislation, regulatory requirements and industry standards and ensure appropriate implementation across the region.
• Monitor compliance with company procedures relating to safety, quality, workplace organisation and operational standards.
• Analyse QHSE performance, identify areas for improvement and provide recommendations to senior management.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and share best practices across regional operations.
• Work closely with global QHSE teams to ensure consistency and alignment of standards across the organisation.

Requirements

• Minimum 3-5 years of QHSE experience within a highly regulated industry.
• Experience within the marine, maritime, offshore, shipyard, engineering or industrial sector is highly advantageous.
• ISO Lead Auditor certification will be an advantage.
• Experience managing internal and external audits, non-conformities, corrective actions and compliance activities.
• Strong knowledge of QHSE legislation, standards and best practices.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work across different cultures, countries and organisational levels.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and motivate teams without direct authority.
• Proactive, independent and solutions-oriented approach.
• Strong organisational and analytical skills with attention to detail.
