Job summary

Steel Fabrication Co. in Singapore seeks a QA/QC Support role to assist the QA/QC Manager in ensuring project requirements are met.

You will conduct welding and NDT inspections, coordinate quality requirements with production teams and customers, and prepare quality records and documentation for project completion. The role supports ISO audits and client approvals, with a focus on identifying non-conforming products and driving timely corrective actions.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in QA/QC within steel fabrication or related industries.
• Welding Inspector certification such as AWS, CSWIP, or equivalent preferred.
• Familiarity with steel materials, welding processes, NDT and destructive testing methods.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with personnel at all levels.
• Own transport preferred for site visits and inspections.

Responsibilities

• Support QA/QC Manager in quality assurance and control activities to meet project requirements.
• Conduct welding and NDT inspections to verify compliance with specifications and standards.
• Coordinate quality requirements with production teams, class surveyors, and customers.
• Prepare and maintain quality records, inspection reports, and project documentation upon job completion.
• Support ISO quality audits with Management Committee to maintain certification standards.
• Prepare and submit quality documentation for client approval to facilitate project progress.
• Perform incoming goods and final inspections to ensure product quality before delivery.
• Identify and report non-conforming products and support corrective and preventive actions.
