Job summary
SRN ENGINEERING PTE. LTD. is seeking a QA/QC Engineer to lead quality assurance activities for welding and fabrication projects in Singapore. You will prepare quality plans and inspection plans, perform welder qualifications, and coordinate stage inspections at shop and site.
The role requires knowledge of AWS D1.1, BS EN, and ISO standards, plus experience with structural steel and related certifications are a plus. Proficiency in MS Office tools is expected.
Qualifications
- Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
- Experience in Quality Assurance/Quality Control (welding works) in construction or related industry.
- Must have knowledge in codes AWS D1.1 and BS EN and ISO standards.
- Structural Steel related experience and AWS/CSWIP/Painting certification is an advantage.
- Computer proficiency in MS Project/Excel and MS Word.
Responsibilities
- Prepares the Quality plans and Inspection Test plans according to project specifications.
- Conducts welding procedure specification qualification records and welder qualification tests.
- Prepares fabrication, erection, and repair procedures.
- Conducts stage wise inspections like material/ fit up/ visual/ NDT/ bolt tightening/ painting for fabrication and erection works.
- Liaises with Project Managers/ Engineers for day-to-day inspection activities at shop/ site.
- Liaises with Client inspectors.
- Maitains good documentation.
