Job summary

Steel Fabrication Co. in Singapore seeks a QA/QC Inspector to support the QA/QC Manager, perform welding and NDT inspections, and coordinate quality activities with production, customers, and class surveyors.

You will maintain quality records, support ISO audits, and prepare documentation for client approvals, ensuring compliant project progression and timely corrective actions when non-conformities arise.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' QA/QC experience in steel fabrication.
• Welding Inspector certification (AWS/CSWIP) preferred.
• Familiar with steel materials, welding, NDT and destructive testing.
• Strong communication and ability to liaise with personnel at all levels.
• Own transport preferred for site visits.

Responsibilities

• Support the QA/QC Manager in quality assurance and control activities to ensure project requirements are met.
• Conduct welding and NDT inspections to verify compliance with specifications and quality standards.
• Coordinate quality requirements and specifications with production teams, class surveyors, and customers.
• Prepare and maintain quality records, inspection reports, and project documentation upon job completion.
• Support ISO quality audits in collaboration with the Management Committee to maintain certification standards.
• Prepare and submit quality documentation for client approval to facilitate project progress.
• Perform incoming goods and final inspections to ensure product quality and compliance before delivery.
• Identify and report non-conforming products, supporting timely corrective and preventive actions.
