Job summary

NTS COMPONENTS SINGAPORE PTE LTD is seeking a Quality Inspector to perform comprehensive dimensional inspections on sheet metal, machined, and fabricated components. You will interpret GD&T and drawings and use CMM/FARO systems to verify dimensions and generate reports.

The role requires 2–3 years of relevant experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a quality-driven manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• GCE O'Level or equivalent at minimum.
• 2–3 years of relevant experience.
• Strong ability to interpret drawings and specifications.
• GD&T knowledge per ASME Y14.5 or equivalent.
• Experience with sheet metal, precision machined, and fabricated components.
• Proficient in precision measuring instruments.
• Experience operating CMM or FARO systems.
• Detail-oriented and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Perform incoming, in-process, first article, and final dimensional inspections on sheet metal, machined, and fabricated components.
• Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T requirements to determine inspection criteria and measurement methods.
• Operate and program CMM and/or FARO measurement equipment to conduct dimensional verification and generate inspection reports.
• Conduct FAIRs and prepare comprehensive dimensional layouts per customer requirements.
• Verify critical dimensions and tolerances against drawings and specifications.
• Utilize precision measuring instruments and metrology equipment to ensure product conformity.
• Identify, document, and segregate non-conforming materials; initiate NCR/NCMR and communicate results to relevant departments.
• Maintain calibration awareness and proper handling of inspection equipment.
• Record inspection results in quality systems and maintain documentation.
• Maintain 5S and comply with quality, safety, and company procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Quality Supervisor/Manager

Responsibilities

• Perform incoming, in-process, first article, and final dimensional inspections on sheet metal, machined, and fabricated components

• Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T requirements to determine inspection criteria and measurement methods

• Operate and program CMM and/or FARO measurement equipment to conduct dimensional verification and generate inspection reports

• Conduct First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR) and prepare comprehensive dimensional layouts in accordance with customer requirements

• Verify critical dimensions, geometric tolerances, and feature relationships against engineering drawings and customer specifications

• Utilize precision measuring instruments and metrology equipment to ensure product conformity

• Identify, document, and segregate non-conforming materials and products; initiate Non-Conformance Reports (NCR/NCMR) and communicate findings to relevant departments

• Maintain calibration awareness and ensure proper handling of inspection and measuring equipment

• Record inspection results accurately in quality systems and maintain all dimensional and quality documentation

• Maintain 5S standards and comply with all quality, safety, and company procedures

• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Quality Supervisor or Quality Manager

Requirements

• Minimum GCE 'O' Level or equivalent

• Minimum 2-3 year of relevant working experience

• Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings, mechanical part prints, and manufacturing specifications

• Sound knowledge and practical application of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) in accordance with ASME Y14.5 or equivalent standards

• Experience performing dimensional inspection on sheet metal, precision machined, and fabricated components

• Proficient in the use of precision measuring instruments including Vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges, dial indicators, pin gauges, and surface plates

• Hands-on experience operating and programming Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) and/or FARO measurement systems for dimensional verification and inspection reporting

• Meticulous, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently in a quality-driven manufacturing environment
