Job summary

CHONG FONG ENGINEERING PTE LTD is seeking an experienced QA Inspector to perform rigorous dimensional and visual inspections of machined parts, weldments and assemblies in line with drawings and customer specs.

The role requires strong hands-on experience with inspection equipment (CMM, micrometers, verniers) and GD&T knowledge, with meticulous documentation and collaboration with QA/QC teams to ensure product quality.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years relevant work experience (O/A level).
• Diploma candidates with 1 year experience considered.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Good understanding of technical drawings and engineering specifications.
• Familiar with inspection methods and GD&T.
• Proficient with inspection equipment and CMM.
• Meticulous and quality-focused.
• Able to maintain accurate records.

Responsibilities

• Conduct incoming, in-process and final inspections of machined parts, weldments and assemblies in accordance with drawings and customer specs.
• Perform dimensional inspections on parts using micrometers, vernier calipers, comparators, indicators, CMM and Creaform.
• Identify and report non-conforming parts or products to the QA Engineer for further action.
• Maintain accurate inspection records and documentation.
• Ensure inspections are carried out in accordance with approved data, drawings, specifications and inspection procedures.
• Support the QA/QC team in maintaining product quality and compliance with customer requirements.

• Conduct incoming, in-process and final inspections of machined parts, weldments and assemblies in accordance with technical drawings, customer specifications and requirements.
• Perform dimensional inspections on parts, components and tools using various inspection equipment, including micrometers, vernier calipers, comparators, indicators, CMM and Creaform.
• Carry out visual, mechanical and functional inspections to verify product conformity.
• Perform visual and dimensional inspections of incoming and outgoing components and parts.
• Identify and report non-conforming parts or products to the QA Engineer for further action.
• Ensure inspections are carried out in accordance with approved technical data, drawings, specifications and inspection procedures.
• Understand and apply inspection specifications, dimensional tolerances, limitations and acceptance criteria.
• Maintain accurate inspection records and documentation.
• Ensure all inspection equipment is used correctly and appropriately for the required inspection.
• Support the QA/QC team in maintaining product quality and compliance with customer requirements.

Job Requirements

• GCE ‘O’ / ‘A’ Level with a minimum of 3 years of relevant working experience; or
• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Management or a related discipline with a minimum of 1 year of relevant working experience.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels.
• Good understanding of technical drawings and engineering specifications.
• Familiar with various inspection methods and techniques.
• Basic understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Proficient in using various inspection and measurement equipment.
• Able to perform visual, dimensional, mechanical and functional inspections accurately.
• Meticulous, detail-oriented and committed to maintaining quality standards.
