Job Summary

You will manage procurement activities to ensure timely sourcing, cost efficiency, and compliance with corporate and statutory standards, supporting product blending, new product introduction, and supplier performance for operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and maintain procurement related Standard Operating Procedures & train newcomers.
• Sourcing of raw materials, packaging materials, consumables, office supplies, services, etc.
• Competitive quotes and price comparison and analysis to ensure fair & reasonable pricing.
• Identify and evaluate sourcing opportunities as part of the annual cost reduction effort.
• Maintain an updated approved vendor list.
• Conduct yearly supplier performance evaluation and trending summary report.
• Ensure raw materials purchased are according to corporate and statutory guidelines and requirements.
• Issuance of purchase order for raw materials and non-MRP items.
• Raw materials replenishment planning to support bulk product blending plan.
• Ensure timely delivery of purchased items.
• Manage non-conformities in purchased items.
• Support New Product Introduction (NPI) and work with suppliers to drive sustainability and cost improvement initiatives to deliver operational excellence.
• Work with raw materials vendors to ensure smooth material qualification & Halal certification.
• Stock takes and inventory management.
• Maintain & upkeep raw materials Safety Data Sheet (SDS).
• Responsible for maintaining Purchasing Info Records in SAP, procurement reports and metrics, and SAP Vendors Master Creation of new trade items.
• Conduct purchase statistic collection, monthly savings report for direct material & spent analysis.
• Quarterly reporting on overdue open POs & resolution with requestors.
• Support internal & external audits & timely closure of gap (if any identified).
• Any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Manager.

Requirements

• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree holders.
• Preferably 2-3 years procurement working experience in the chemical and cosmeceuticals industry.
• Relevant experience in SAP, Halal, and ISO 9001 will be an added advantage.
• Fluent in both oral and written English.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Mature, proactive, take initiative, attention to detail, well organized, and quality minded.
• Systematic and able to work under pressure.
• Meticulous and able to follow through with tasks promptly.
• Able to work independently as well as in a team.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) is a must.
