Job summary

Staffking Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking a Purchasing professional to manage PO execution, follow MRP, and coordinate with local and overseas suppliers to ensure timely shipments.

The role oversees procurement, logistics, and production planning, sources suppliers, negotiates terms, manages ECs and stock, and leads projects with stakeholders while driving improvements in purchasing systems.

Qualifications

• Experience in purchasing within manufacturing industry.
• Proven ability to manage POs from MRP and coordinate with suppliers.
• Strong negotiation and data/reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage purchase order execution by following MRP to release POs/RFQs to suppliers and coordinate with local and overseas suppliers on issues and shipment tracking.
• Oversee procurement, logistics, and production planning to ensure cost-effectiveness, quality, and on-time delivery.
• Source and evaluate suppliers, negotiate pricing, payment terms, and lead times for components and materials.
• Manage Engineering Changes (EC) and stock levels to support production needs.
• Apply judgment on complex issues, lead when needed, and communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
• Report and improve purchasing systems and provide management with data and ad-hoc duties.

Job Scope:

1. Manage purchase order execution — follow MRP to release POs/RFQs to suppliers, and coordinate with local and overseas suppliers on purchase issues and shipment tracking.

2. Oversee procurement, logistics, and production planning — ensuring cost-effectiveness, quality, and on-time delivery across all procurement functions.

3. Source and evaluate suppliers — identify potential suppliers, conduct market research, and appraise suppliers for machine components, materials, and products (local and overseas), while negotiating pricing, payment terms, and lead times.

4. Manage Engineering Changes (EC) and stock levels — closely monitor EC implementation and maintain warehouse stock to support production needs.

5. Apply judgment and leadership on complex issues — evaluate variable factors for in-depth analysis, determine methods/procedures for new assignments, and coordinate team activities as a lead when needed, while communicating effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

6. Report and improve purchasing systems — provide Management with purchasing data/reports, recommend process improvements, and handle ad-hoc duties as assigned.
