Responsibilities

• Create and change Purchase Orders, Schedule Agreements, or Quantity Contracts.

• Act as a central contact for suppliers on purchasing topics.
• Coordinate with Engineering Changes Specialist.
• Assist in communicating forecasts to suppliers.
• Assess suppliers for logistics criteria and parts shortages.
• Support Material Planning with inventory provision.

Job description

Working Hours: Monday – Friday: 8:30 am to 6:00 pm
Salary: Up to $4,500

Responsibilities

• Creation and changes of Purchase Order, Schedule Agreement or Quantity Contract
• Maintenance of Material Master for purchasing data
• Review and analyze MRP results
• Central contact person for assigned suppliers related to purchasing topics such as order quantity, order acknowledgement, confirmation of delivery, pull in/push out deliveries, and non‑conformance recovery
• Coordinate with Engineering Changes Specialist and send ECN, BOM and drawings to suppliers
• Assist Commodity Manager in communicating the forecast (rolling future demand) to the supplier and determining the supplier safety stock level
• Participate and cooperate with Procurement Engineer & Commodity Manager in special projects
• Assess suppliers with reference to logistics criteria (supplier’s reliability) for On Time Delivery (OTD)
• Expedite part shortages to ensure material availability and inform Production Planner of any issues that may require changes to the build plan
• Assist Material Planning team with inventory provision (E&O) and end‑of‑life (EOL) related methods

Requirements

• Diploma / Degree in Engineering, Business Studies / Administration, Logistics or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years of working experience in a purchasing function within a manufacturing environment
• Supply Chain Management skill, preferably with ERP knowledge
• Ability to adapt to changes in ramp‑up / ramp‑down volume
• Ability to work and communicate with global colleagues and suppliers
